Right now from where I sit, the sun is shining bright and birds are singing right outside my window. Everything probably seems so cheery because it’s finally Friday and that’s always a good thing to see! Waiting On A Wednesday…

Customer service has to be one of the most important things when it comes to running a business. Just this morning I had to contact one of my utility companies because my bill had some very strange extra charges on it. Well I chose to go the ‘Live Chat’ option to get it resolved. After waiting ‘in line’ online for nearly an hour, a customer service representative finally responded to my question. After 35 minutes of back and forth, she was able to credit my account for the extra charge and remove it from any future bills. Even though my wait was much too long for my liking, the customer service rep. took care of the problem and made me happy in the end. That’s what customer service is all about, making sure your customers are happy so they’ll stay your customer!

We’ve all made it to the official mid point of this week and boy does it feel good to finally have the weekend in sight. I must have rolled off the wrong side of the bed this morning because I’m just not feeling like my normal self. Thankfully the rest of the staff here at Thrifty Nickel will cook me soup and nurse me back to health should I fall ill.(Hopefully!) What a wonderful weekend I had, full of watching football and leaving my couch as little as possible. The big game here in Odessa took place Friday night at Ratliff Stadium between Permian and Odessa high School. The Bronchos pulled off an amazing win against the Permian Panthers 31-28. This fierce rivalry came down to the final minutes and Odessa was able to hold on and start 1-0 in District 2-5A, great job to all the men out there.
