We’re officially half way through the work week and I couldn’t be happier. Did anyone catch that boxing match of a debate last night? Weather around the Permian Basin has been hot as usual but we’re set to see a little relief tomorrow with a high of only 76. There’s only two more weeks left until Halloween, so start stocking up on candy for all the trick or treaters that will be out.

Taste Of The Permian Basin Is Coming Soon!

It’s finally Friday and weather is looking beautiful across the Permian Basin for this weekend. Tonight Odessa High School travels to square off against Lubbock Coronado, looking to pick up their first win of the season. The Permian Panthers are off this week after picking up a last second win against Amarillo Tascosa last week. Around the NFL, Dallas travels to Baltimore to take on the Ravens and the undefeated Houston Texans try to improve to 6-0 against Green Bay.

Thrifty Nickel is proud to be a sponsor of the upcoming Taste of the Permian Basin event, Thursday October 25th. Proceeds from the event benefit Permian Basin students and teachers through scholarships, hospitality training and culinary equipment for local high schools. Who Can Say No To Those Eyes!?

Here at Thrifty Nickel we love animals. From cats to canaries it seems like we all have at least one animal in our life.
