Time To Finish Up Your Christmas Shopping!

Even though there may be no snow on the ground, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Permian Basin. Decorations and lights brighten the night sky when the sun falls, and I love it. You can feel the winter chill in the air just walking around admiring all the beautiful lights that our neighbors have put up. Well there are only eight days left until Christmas is here so we hope Santa has everything ready for your house.

Help Change Someone’s Holiday With Angel Trees!

Angel Tree in the Permian Basin needs your help. The Salvation Army started Angel Tree in 1979 to provide toys and clothing for children during Christmas time. Since then the program has rapidly expanded all across the country.

I’m sure you’ve all seen them as you shop in your favorite retail stores. Trees decorated with paper angels that have a child’s name and their needs this holiday season. To help, all you have to do is pick a name (or two!) off the tree and purchase the item listed. This is such a great cause to help children get something like a new pair of shoes, when otherwise they would get very little and sometimes nothing for the holidays.

This promotion has been going very well so far this season but there are still kids in need with their angel hanging on a tree. Next time you’re at Walmart or the mall and pass an Angel Tree, we hope you’ll stop help give a deserving child something special for the holidays.

Can you believe it? The end of November is already here, and when did it get so darn cold outside?
