What an amazing weekend it was for football in Texas. Both OHS and Permian took home a win on Friday night, much to the delight of their fans. Then on Saturday the Texas Longhorns knocked off #12 ranked Oklahoma Sooners in the annual Red River Rivalry 36-20. So it’s pretty apparent what I did all weekend, but what about you fine folks? The day that I never imagined would get here is finally here, Friday! Even though I have absolutely zero plans this weekend, I am looking forward to it more than anything. Over two days of doing nothing besides enjoying some football sounds more appealing every second I think about it. Odessa High School will enjoy their homecoming this weekend with a matchup against Coronado tonight at home 7:30pm. This means the Permian Panthers are playing on the road against San Angelo Central tonight.
