Hello and happy Monday to all of our wonderful readers. Hopefully you enjoyed all the Irish festivities over the weekend and were safe in doing so. I certainly used my Sunday morning to recuperate from a block party the night before. But Monday morning means I’m back in the saddle at work ready to bring you another week of the best Thrifty Nickel blog in all the land. March Madness has officially begun as the NCAA announced all the brackets and seeding last night on ESPN. The round of 64 doesn’t kick off until Thursday so you still have some time to fill out your bracket. I haven’t even started to fill mine out but I do like the Florida Gators as a favorite to win it all at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington April 7th. Even if you’re not the biggest basketball fan it might still be in your best interest to fill out a bracket this year. That is to say, only if one billion dollars in your bank account sounds good right about now! That’s right, Warren Buffett has announced that he will pay one billion dollars to anyone who can correctly guess the results of every NCAA tournament game this year. While the odds of doing so are astronomical, it’s still worth a shot! I don’t even know what I would do with a billion dollars, probably buy an island equipped with a hammock and lots of cold beverages. So if you don’t see anymore blogs after April 7th, you know where I’ll be!
